When your lost keys are handed to the police, they ring us giving, amongst other things, the unique label number imprinted on you key label. We ring you straight away to arrange for you to reclaim your keys
Most keys are returned within 24 hours. There have been many incidents where keys have been returned before the owner has realised their loss. Our return rate is in excess of 88% on all lost keys bearing our label.

No. We are a private company operating with nationwide Police co-operation for over 100 years.
Yes. Our Telephones are answered 24/7. However, office hours are 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (office is closed Public Holidays).
Yes. We only divulge the name of the person collecting keys from a Police station to the Police.
There is no excess – we provide reimbursement from Dollar One the limit of service held.

No. The Register pays the reward (as part of our service).
Contact our office for a straight forward claim form. Fill in the form and return it with receipts. You claim is processed and your reimbursement is sent to you the same day.

‘Wear and Tear’ is generally not covered. However, the Register will always review circumstances before making a final decision.

As long as the only identification on your keys is a “Commonwealth Key” label, the identity of your keys is secure. However, if your keys are stolen, we advise that a Locksmith be called immediately and your locks should be re keyed. This situation is also covered by the Register depending on Service held.
